Promotion of terran travel within organizations

The following measures can be used to promote terran travel in organizations. They already are in some organizations.

• Mandatory train or coach travel if the journey time is less than a certain number of hours (ex: 8 hours).
• Tax on air travel to fund sustainable travel.
• CO₂ budget for air travel.
• Enable working on the train.
• Cover additional costs (ex: layover).
• Only allow economy flights, but allow first-class tickets for train travel.
• Travel request required, flights must be approved by management.
• For terran travel, business trips may be combined with vacation.
• Terran options must be bookable the same as plane options via the company’s booking platform.
• Employ local staff who do not commute by plane.
• Offer an annual travel pass or bicycle facilities instead of parking spaces.
• Only terran food (i.e. food that has not traveled by plane) in canteens and restaurants.
• Flights are not allowed for official business events or offsites.
